Monday

It's Monday. We have been busy since they came. Susan and I spent time in the garden and yard both mornings, and Neil pulled some weeds. We found some seeds on the columbine plants and put them in pots. She put all the garden animals together so they could be friends and eat the crystals (stones, she says) we found.

Today Susan went to the first day of Camp Tatanka at WTAMU. It was 1 to 5, and she was worn out with swimming and playing. She went to sleep on the couch and didn't eat dinner. We have been saving bread for the ducks at SW Park, so we went to feed them when she woke. Afterwards we had to have ice cream at Braums.

She still like to do puzzles and sing. We made things with Legos and played with clay. She went to a cram school for clay and learned to mix colors and make things. She uses a very light weight clay I have never seen before. It must be a polymer of some kind, and it air dries.

The are several sources for material to read and do phonics on the web. We found a Cinderella game with sight words that she likes. After we played it a few times, I figured out how to change the words for the printouts to words she wants like pink, princess, take, grass, glass.

Silvia and Neil will leave in the morning for LA, going by Flagstaff and Las Vegas. They got a room in LV for $25, 3 star hotel. Amazing!
